In my life’s infatuation, I once dreamed of Huizhou. In Huizhou, every flower and every tree is elegant, and every brick and tile tells a story. Here lies the deep alleys filled with the aroma of ink and the lingering charm of ancient Huizhou City. At the summit of Mount Huangshan, the sea of clouds surges and the rustling of pine trees sings. The white walls and black tiles by the water of Hongcun are painted in ink and wash.
The first stop: The ancient city of Shexian
The Huizhou-style architecture with white walls and black tiles, as well as the intangible cultural heritage skills of Huizhou ink and She inkstone. The first stop of our trip to Mount Huangshan was the Huizhou Ancient Town in Shexian County. As one of the four best-preserved ancient towns, we experienced the Huizhou atmosphere of “every household reading” here, admired the Huizhou architecture with upturned eaves and upturned legs, and learned about the only existing eight-legged plaque in China – the Xu Guo Stone Archway. Together, we unraveled the cultural code of harmony between human culture and humanity.
The second stop: Climbing Mount Huangshan
When visiting Mount Huangshan, how could you not climb it? The King of Glory invites you to “observe the clouds and mists together and enjoy the mountains together”. Huangshan Mountain, with an average altitude of 1,800 meters, where the grandeur of the mountains meets the vastness of the sky, is home to numerous peaks of varying heights, strange pines and rocks emerging one after another, and the sea of clouds surging and changing unpredictably. At 9 a.m., the bus arrived at the foot of the mountain. At 12 p.m., all the members reached the summit of the Bright Summit. Together, the King of Glory measured their beliefs with their feet and conquered heights with their perseverance.
